03.29.12 (Thursday am) - P loves that swing. She can't walk by without running toward it. Ever.
03.28.12 (Late Wednesday afternoon) - We spent the afternoon on the couch reading Ms. Frizzle's Adventures: Imperial China (Magic School Bus). So F decided to make a Chinese scroll (writing from right to left) about two sisters crossing a bridge. She also tried to make her own Chinese words (not sure how well this worked). P and T worked on the yard.
03.28.12 (Wednesday afternoon, part II) - The boxes are gone. Step by step we're getting there.
03.28.12 (Wednesday am) - So much color everywhere.
03.27.12 (Tuesday afternoon) - Everyone gets a ribbon, this doesn't dispel their excitement in the least. Now they want to sign up for another session to "get more ribbons."

03.24.12 (Saturday afternoon) - A walk in the rain by Longbranch Nature Center.
03.23.12 (Friday late afternoon) - P playing the toddler hidden pictures game.
03.23.12 (Friday morning) - Painting with T - "Look mommy, I made an astronaut. And a playground."

03.23.12 (Friday am) - Before school practice.
03.22.12 (Thursday am) - Pink sheet is practically a family member.
03.21.12 (Wednesday after preschool) - Cherry blossom boat ride followed by run/dance/play at Georgetown's waterfront park. Ducks make awesome friends.
03.20.12 (Tuesday afternoon) - A warm afternoon at Penrose. The goggles come with us a lot lately.

03.19.12 (Tuesday am) - THE FIRST DAY OF SPRING. P couldn't stop touching the shiny pavement, which glistened after the morning rain.
03.19.12 (Monday am) - F's campaigning and T's working on his writing. I guess this is what happens when you raise kids in DC.
03.19.12 (Monday) - F's schoolwork with one of P's drawings in the middle.
03.18.12 (Sunday) - Dan had to work, so I took the kids to Gravelly Point. We brought snacks, books, and bubbles and spent the whole afternoon.
03.17.12 (Saturday, "Leprechaun Day") - St. Patty's Day is really a big deal for the preschool crowd. The girls made leprechaun traps out of construction paper and scotch tape, I wasn't quite sure how they were supposed to operate. But apparently a few pennies (i.e. "gold") does the trick. The girls spent the whole morning playing games involving leprechauns and rainbows and sneaky tricks and in the afternoon our neighbor came over for dinner with her kids (pork chops on the grill, yum!). A good day.

03.16.12 (Friday am) - The trees are exploding with color right now. 70-80 degree days and it isn't even spring yet.
03.15.12 (Thursday am) - Dogs and blossoms on the walk to school.
03.14.12 (Wednesday after kindergarten) - The girls and I tried to teach T how to play Candyland. We failed.
03.14.12 (Wednesday afternoon) - A picnic at Gravelly Point with P and T. T was up sick all night, but seemed fine in the morning. We had fun watching the airplanes skim over our heads. T's taken to wearing two different shoes, one sandal and one sneaker.
