02.02.12 (Thursday 9:06 am) - P likes to run ahead. When I asked her to wait for us she sat on the stil-wet curb.






02.02.12 (Thursday 8:58 am) - I try to only post a few pictures a day, but the post-rain, warm temps of Wednesday morning made it hard to choose. Isn't it a little early for branch full of buds?

02.01.12 (Wednesday noon) - The day became beautiful so T and I walked to school to pick up P and her friend, C. The girls walked home swinging P's doll between them. It was pretty cute.





02.01.12 (Wednesday am) - Warm morning with crazy skies. The groundhog saw his shadow, so six more weeks of winter ahead. Considering how mild this winter has been, I don't really have a problem with that.

01.31.12 (Tuesday) - I would love to hear the music that plays in P's head. It must sound beautiful.





01.30.12 (Monday) - Big boy undies. Good friends of ours just left for China with the foreign service. They gave us their pepper plant. I like having something in the house that reminds us of them.







01.29.12 (Sunday) - T's first day of potty-training, it's a marathon not a sprint. Then lots of drawings of princess castles. And Dan fixed the puppet theater. Lazy day, felt good.

01.28.12 (Saturday) - Cleaning the house before our bbque with the neighbors. Lots of runny noses this time of year.







01.26.12 (Thursday am) - Jewel walked to school with us. I've been informed that she NEEDS a coat.







01.25.12 (Wednesday afternoon) - Warm day for jumping on the neighbor's trampoline.

01.25.12 (Wednesday am) - The more often we take this walk, the more we notice.







01.24.12 (Tuesday) - Walk to school. Not too cold this morning. So we lingered.

01.23.11 (Monday) - F had the day off school, so we decided to spend the day (sans T) at the Smithsonian's Natural History Museum. Unfortunately, the museum opened an hour late (due to "icy roads"? seriously?) and a huge rally brought crowds. But we still had a good day. Especially learning about evolution.




01.22.12 (Sunday afternoon) - Stories in Art at the National Gallery. The girls learned about Matisse and paper-cutting. And I finally downloaded instagram.




01.22.12 (Sunday) - P rocks a hat.







01.21.12 (Saturday am) - We woke up to snow. Sort of a hard, crusty snow. But still "snow!!!" The girls immediately ran outside, whereas T chilled by the window, not quite as impressed by it all.

01.20.12 (Friday am) - The neighbors just adopted a new dog, a one year old hound. She's awesome.



01.19.12 (Thursday pm) - I always go back and forth on how much to let the kids play on my iphone. Some days it seems so mindless and some days it seems like such a lifesaver. On Thursday I downloaded a bunch of new apps for kids, so I must be leaning towards "lifesaver."





01.19.12 (Thursday am) - Cold day. The kids love breaking up the ice in front of our house.





01.18.12 (Wednesday am) - We always discover interesting things around the neighborhood after we drop F off at school. Well, maybe always is a bit of an overstatement.
