08.23.12 (Thursday evening) - Best friends. T went crazy with the hose and soaked everyone.







08.23.12 (Thursday afternoon) - Drawings and playdates. The kids all love that blue track, it gets more use than any of our other toys.



08.22.12 (Wednesday night) - The girls put on a ballet, with P as the "prima ballerina." They spent all evening preparing for the big show. Very fancy.

08.22.12 (Wednesday morning) - The Visionary Art Museum (Baltimore, MD). This place is incredible.



08.21.12 (Tuesday night) - Just some light reading on the couch.







08.21.12 (Tuesday evening) - Walking P to her first sleepover. F helped her pack.





08.19.12 (Sunday afternoon) - Three hour rain delay at the Nats Game. At least they won.







08.18.12 (Saturday) - A 75 degree day at the Pittsburgh Zoo. Almost home.







08.17.12 (Friday) - Historic Sauder Village (Archbold, OH). We finally found a great place to stop on the drive between Chicago and Cleveland. Yay.



08.16.12 (Thursday) - The Museum of Science and Industry (Chicago, IL). We took the kids into the coal mine, so many flashbacks from my own childhood.

08.16.12 (Thursday morning) - Playing with my grandfather's old blocks. Some toys really are timeless.







08.15.12 (Wednesday afternoon) - A walk around Lake Katherine then ice cream at the Plush Horse. Not a bad way to spend an afternoon. Especially when temperatures are this cool in August.





08.15.12 (Wednesday morning) - My mom had teddy bears made out of my dad's old shirts. The kids loved them. Nice that they now have a reminder of their grandfather, though I wish they would have had more time to get to know him.

08.13.12 (Monday morning) - Great Lakes Science Center (Cleveland, OH).



08.12.12 (Sunday) - 5 kid road trip to Chicago.





08.11.12 (Saturday) - Arting. P's drawing is on the stool.

08.10.12 (Friday afternoon) - Preschool playdate at our house.



08.09.12 (Thursday afternoon) - Spent the whole day at Mt Vernon with all five kids. Then Allie and I drank cube libres with peach rum while the kids played with the hose.



08.08.12 (Wednesday afternoon) - FIONA!! all the way from Denver. "Such a cutie, wootie baby" - P







08.06.12 (Monday afternoon) - M staying with us for two nights, so we arted all afternoon.







08.06.12 (Monday morning) - Jones Point Park in Alexandria. The kids were fussy but the place was beautiful.



08.05.12 (Sunday night) - Friends over for dinner with their adorable baby. No, I do not want another one.









08.05.12 (Sunday afternoon)- Loved this family, they made taking photos easy peasy.



08.02.12 (Thursday night) - Vacation Day 10 - the drive home.
